Have your personal alarm and key safe set up and tested for you
If you would like one of Taking Care's professional installation team to set up your personal alarm then add the installation service to your package when you order online.
Taking Care will arrange a time with you and one of their team will bring your order with them. They will set up your personal alarm, check it works correctly and register it with the monitoring service. Taking Care will show you how it works and answer any questions you may have.
You can choose a time when friends or family can be with you if you like, so the installation team can answer any questions they may have too.
If you order a key safe, it will be fitted too at no extra cost to you.
The installation and demonstration can take about an hour, depending on what you have ordered.
The installation service removes any concerns you may have about setting up your personal alarm service.
The installer will show you how to use your personal alarm and do a range test around your house and garden so you know you can get help if you fall outside for example.
Unlike some other personal alarm providers, Taking Care do not outsource their services.
The installation team are experienced at setting up and demonstrating personal alarm systems.
Choose from morning or afternoon appointments on a day to suit you.
Installation can normally be arranged within five working days.
The installer will call in advance to let you know they are on their way. They will clearly identify themselves so you feel safe and confident.
If you have any concerns about setting up your personal alarm or key safe, let the installation team do all the work for you.
Once the personal alarm is set up and tested, the installer will show you how it works and run through a test call with you.
Your installer will bring all the equipment with them so you won't receive a delivery.
(£118.80 including VAT)
You can select the installation option during checkout. Taking Care will set up your personal alarm, register it with our monitoring service and show you how it works.
If you order a key safe, Taking Care will fit that too.
Unfortunately, an installation service cannot be provided to customers in Scotland, Isle of Man, the Scilly Islands or the Channel Islands.
Many customers do not need to pay VAT on their personal alarms or the installation service.
This is because the alarms are categorised as VAT exempt by the UK government if you, or the person you are buying the alarm for, have a condition that requires regular medication or are registered disabled.
