Taking Care (PPP Taking Care Ltd) are the providers of the Age Co Personal Alarm Service and work closely with Age UK to help as many older adults as possible live independent and dignified lives in the homes they love. Taking Care have been helping older adults to stay independent for longer for more than 30 years.

Taking Care are the exclusive provider of Age Co's approved personal alarm service and have worked closely with Age UK for many years.

To ensure Taking Care are delivering the best possible service to their personal alarm users, Age Co monitor the performance of the Emergency Resolution Centres and the Customer Service and Sales departments.

Age Co is the new name for Age UK products and services that help older people live securely and independently. Everything sold under the Age Co name will help raise income for the charitable work of Age UK.

Members of the Telecare Services Association

Telecare is the industry term for remote care of the elderly. Taking Care are members of the Telecare Services Association (TSA) and each year undergo a stringent audit by the TSA. 

Unlike some other telecare providers, Taking Care don't outsource staff so you can be confident of consistent, high standards when you deal with them. Taking Care also go above and beyond the TSA's requirements by having three UK based alarm monitoring centres. This provides extra resilience so services remain running in the event of a disaster or unexpected incident. 

Taking Care have their own field team of friendly engineers who will repair or replace your home alarm if it develops a fault or stops working. Best of all, there is no charge for this service!

Three UK-based Emergency Resolution Centres

Taking Care have three UK based Emergency Resolution Centres that provide a 24-hour monitoring service. The compassionate and highly trained response team will answer your alarm calls quickly any time of the day or night.

With an average response time of just 6.2 seconds you and your family can have peace of mind knowing that your emergency calls won't go unanswered, and that help is available fast, when you need it most. 

The highly trained staff can support you during emergencies such as falls, medical emergencies, intruders and fires. Taking Care also run Alzheimer's Society Dementia Friends training for all staff and have many years of experience supporting people with dementia.
