Age Co personal alarms are easy to set up and a clear set of instructions is provided with your order. Some customers prefer that Taking Care set up and test the alarm equipment for them, and an installation option is available for in-home alarms (Classic Personal Alarm and Classic Fall Alarm). Taking Care will arrange a time and date for the installation and will bring your order with them, so you won’t receive a delivery. Taking Care will set up the alarm for you, test the service and show you how it works.
Installation can normally be arranged within 5 working days of receiving your order, and morning and afternoon appointments are offered.
Unfortunately, an installation service cannot be provided to customers in Scotland, Isle of Man, the Scilly Islands or the Channel Islands.
The service costs an additional £99 (£118.80 including VAT).

One of the installation team will visit your home and bring along your personal alarm and the equipment they need to set it up. If you have ordered a key safe, they will bring that too. The team member will set up your personal alarm, and any other items you ordered such as a key safe or sensors, and will test the equipment, register it with the Emergency Resolution Centre and show you how it works.
It depends on what you have ordered but typically a personal alarm can be set up, tested and demonstrated in 1 – 2 hours.
The installation service is available for addresses in England and Wales. Unfortunately, Taking Care cannot provide an installation service to customers in Scotland, Isle of Man or the Scilly Islands.
