Can you set up or install my order for me?

Age Co Personal Alarms come with a clear set of instructions. However, some customers prefer that Taking Care set up and test the alarm equipment for them, and an installation option is available for the Classic Personal Alarm since this requires connection to a telephone landline as well as power.

If you choose the installation option, Taking Care will call you within 2 weeks to arrange a time and date for the installation visit. Morning and afternoon appointments are offered.

Your personal alarm will be posted to you as soon as possible so the equipment is ready to be installed on your chosen date. A professional installer will set up the alarm for you, test the service and show you how it works.

Unfortunately, an installation service cannot be provided to customers in Scotland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Islands or the Channel Islands.

How much does installation cost?

The service costs an additional £99 (£118.80 including VAT).

Can I order installation after I have received my alarm or key safe?

If you have any problems setting up your equipment, the team at Taking Care are happy to guide you through the process or can help by booking an installation visit. You can call them on 0800 085 8032.

What does the installation service include?

The installer will set up your Classic Personal Alarm, and any other items you ordered such as a key safe or sensors, and will test the equipment, register it with the Emergency Resolution team and show you how it works. 

How long does the installation take?

Typically the Classic Personal Alarm can be set up, tested and demonstrated in 1 – 2 hours.

What if I need help with the installation after my personal alarm has arrived?

The installation service is only available for the Classic Personal Alarm, since this requires connection to a telephone landline as well as power.

Is the installation service available throughout the UK?

The installation service is available for addresses in England and Wales.  Unfortunately, Taking Care cannot provide an installation service to customers in Scotland, Isle of Man, the Scilly Islands or the Channel Islands.
