Through the Age Co personal alarm service, Taking Care speak to thousands of older people every month. Taking Care understand how much many people are relying on Age UK's vital work, particularly during the coronavirus pandemic.
That is why Taking Care have donated £100,000 to Age UK's Emergency Coronavirus Appeal.
The donation will help Age UK to continue to deliver their information and advice services, currently receiving an unprecedented number of calls. It will also support Age UK's telephone befriending service and work in local communities.
Age UK has launched a £10 million Emergency Coronavirus Appeal to support the older adults through the pandemic.
The coronavirus is affecting all of us and lock-down is particularly difficult for older members of society, especially if they live alone or rely on others for support.
Laurie Boult, Fundraising Director at Age UK, said: “Thank you so much to Taking Care for their thoughtful support during this exceptionally challenging time. This is a period of great anxiety for everyone, but especially for older people and their loved ones."
