Openreach have announced that by 2027 all analogue phone lines will be replaced with digital ones. To ensure personal alarm customers are supported during and after the switchover, Taking Care have tested the full Age Co Personal Alarm product range in Openreach's laboratory with the leading telephone providers' networks including BT, Sky, TalkTalk and others.
"Digital Alarms" are future proof and do not rely on a telephone landline. They will not be affected by the switchover to digital phone lines. All calls and data are included in the subscription.
"Landline Alarms" connect to a traditional telephone landline but have been tested in Openreach's laboratory with the leading telephone providers' digital networks to ensure maximum longevity. However, you may need to pay an upgrade fee if your telephone provider makes a change in the future that affects your alarm. For more information, you can speak with the Taking Care Sales team by calling 0800 085 7371. Lines are open Monday – Friday, 8am - 6pm.
You can find out more about the digital switchover in Taking Care's Resources and Advice hub or on the Openreach website.
